Recommendation? Heavy duty pocket knife for everyday use. Which one of the two options?

I don't know anything about the quality of the two knives you are interested in. I have a Cold Steel 4Max Scout though. I can't imagine a tougher, more heavy duty folding knife than it. My usual response when asked about suggestions is to buy both. At the prices of these, that's not feasible. Good luck in your search. Let us know what you decide.
I will definitely let you know.

Right off the net. A few have been mentioned here.

Benchmade Adamas
Spyderco Manix 2 XL
Zero Tolerance 0909
Cold Steel 4-Max
LionSteel TM1
Chris Reeve Umnumzaan
Reate Horizon
Hogue X-5
Viper Fortis
Strider SNG

Reportedly the Navy Seals use the Benchmade Griptillian. Another very stout folder is the Shirogorov F3 and its variants.

Been there. Bought lots of over built knives striders hinderers etc. lost lots of money selling them. If I could do it again, I would settle with a few sebenzas. They are extremely over built too, they just don’t look over built at the first glance.

Endura? Pretty rugged and time tested to hell n back 🤷‍♂️

If you can find one, a ZT 0801. I had one briefly. It's a beast with an obtuse edge which seems to be what you are looking for. I, like many here, prefer thinner stock blades. I also dislike the Sebenza. To be honest, the 801 is everything I dislike in a knife, though I admit that it's one of the best flippers I've owned. Sold mine years ago.

My two hard use knives are the Spyderco Gayle Bradley 1 snd Spyderco Manix 2. However my Demko AD20.5 is falling into that category now too.

I've never owned sebenza. I've never thought like this before. You convinced me. If I find a cheap one, I'll buy it out of curiosity. Thanks for the answer.

I will definitely consider this suggestion. I don't own any of these knives. All of those looks awesome. I've been thinking about getting an ad20.5 for a long time.

Here are my suggestions for hiking, work, etc. Good size, very well made, and price doesn't break the bank. I don't carry a big hog of a carry knife when hiking, just my EDC Gayle Bradley #1, out of production, but the GB 2 model is available and is heavier than the Endura and Police models. There is a GB Bowie if you think you might be field dressing a Buffalo or Bear while hiking.

I love my 0801s, I don’t think they’re even That bad, as far as being too thick BTE. They cut fine. At least my Elmax version did.
The 0909 is an even bigger knife, but the geometry is not too bad either because it has a lot of belly. The old 0200s/0300s are cool too, if you don’t mind a recurve.
I’d look for a 0909/0920 (Les George) or a 0560/0550/0562 (Hinderer designs) if I were you. They blend that overbuilt nature of the cold steels with a bit of elegance, and fidget factor (aka 1 handed open/closing if that’s important too). You can find these here on the exchange from time to time, for about $200-300, depending on the model.
ETA : you can find a bunch of reviews/pics of some of the older models here, I think you’ll like em…

If you're dead set on a "hard use" folder (my advice is still to just get a fixed blade), there's no way around a CRK. Sebenza, that it.

For hiking & outdoors, a 4-5" belt knife would serve you much better. No lock to worry about, better ergos, more convenient. If for none of those reasons then that they're so much less of a PITA to clean.

Well.. If you're looking for the biggest, baddest folder around, why don't you get this? 🤣 I just saw a post elsewhere where Midgards Messer said this is just about to come out for pre-order. But on a serious note, if Kansept is making their knives then they are going to be some well built knives.
