HELP... Looking for a new gun

I agree with Len, build something!

3D Printer go brrrr! Between your access and abilities with metal working, you should get a bambu labs X1C and build your own.

I have recently gotten into PY2A (print your second amendment) and there are some really cool and fun projects out there.

This is a 3D Printed M&P 1522 receiver I printed recently. I got a parts kit from Gunbusters on GB for under $200 shipped and printed the receiver, grip, stock, and magazines. There are some amazing projects out there.

Check out the FOSSCAD community on Reddit for an idea of the cool stuff being done.

I've been away for a while but I come back and Brendan is still posting badass guns.

If you don’t have a Springfield M1A SOCOM in your collection that is a hole you should definitely fill. Put mine in a Sage International chassis. Nothing like a heavy battle rifle that can throw some real lead down range.
I have one still sitting in the box from SA. I really need to do something with it. Do you have a suppressor on yours?

If you’re just looking for cool and fun, I think the Mossberg Shockwave fits the bill.
Agree! And personally I really like what the “factory installed” Crimson Trace laser does for the Shockwave. Using a conventional sight line along the top of the barrel on this gun is awkward for me, but shooting from the hip with the laser sight is a very natural feel, and recoil is absorbed very effectively by letting the gun rock backwards in the hands, pivoting on the elbows/shoulders.

Great idea for a thread—thanks Garth. I’ve been thinking about a Tavor TS12—I know they’ve been around for a while, but I haven’t actually talked to someone who has one. Any thoughts from the crew here?

I had the KSG, the TS12 and the DP12.

The ksg was the lightest and the most abusive to the shooter. I bought a TS12 and it was fun but kludgy to reload but definitely sericable and was reliable. Recoil was still typical 12ga.

The dp12 was a whim purchase after I sold my ksg. After shooting, it the ts12 was sold. It has a spring dampener recoil system that eats a bunch of the 12ga recoil. And it was faster than the ksg since you get two rounds per pump.

On par speed wise if not faster by a margin than the ts12. If I wanted to go semi id doing a 1301 by Beretta or the gold standard Benelli m4, but I'd want to shoot an m4 before I picked one. I've shot a 1301 which has average recoil but I've never shot an m4, it's on my summer to do list.

Thanks for taking time to post that comparison—much appreciated. 👍

So many good options. I can't imagine what you could want that jerry doesn't already have 😂

However, I am a big 10mm fan and have a bunch of different brands. My current favorite is the new sig 320x10. Its an accurate beast and soft shooting. Holds 15, though I can only seem to get 14 in it. I am carrying it concealed and it is quite comfortable for such a big gun.

The subsonic stuff was always intriguing to me, subconsciously, probably looking for a reason I couldn't live without one. Never got there.

Hey G Man, crazy thought. Ever look at hi-power custom bolt pistols? There is an exotic world I got lost in years ago. That got me drunk on a Contender rabbit hole (poor mans CF pistol) got the field covered, 222 to 45-70 with a whole lot of fun in between.

How about this thought - if you have an FFL, and I'm not sure on the specifics, but there is an attainable class for legal ownership/use or really cool stuff in select fire options :) ..... Got a 50cal yet G? .338 Lapua has become a real crowd pleaser in the long distance caller.

Lastly, Ever consider an RPG? just for an artifact, Russian surplus. I know a guy in the Baltics I can get you a number for 😂 😂 😂

Just bought an Sig Rattler .300 to SBR. Great gun, tons of fun!!
I just picked up a 11" 300 BLK Wilson Combat Barrel. I'm going to build a Extra upper for my 5.56 SBR. That's the cool part of the AR-15 platform, you can have multiple uppers with optics and just drop them on.
I have a .458 SCOM and 22LR conversation already.

Here’s something a little different:
6188BD37-1FD6-4A17-8A96-EEBE919B1C47.jpeg
It’s the Keystone “Crickett” single shot in .22 caliber.

It’s inexpensive, lightweight, and has nice fiber-optic sights.

Could work as a small game backpacking pistol, and is a great gun to teach first time shooters.

I hope you already have one but I have to ask.
launcher1.jpglauncher2.jpg
The F5 Can Launcher, it replaces the upper on any AR-15 , uses 5.56/.223 Blanks and is the most fun you have ever had with a AR-15 . Launching full cans of local microbrewery beer for Jerry to shoot out of the sky, it's like Skeet but for men. Send a can into a AR500 silhouette target and you will understand the power and the possibilities... It may be useful for peaceful protesters that show up at the front door and are in need of hydration... The possibilities are only limited by your Scotch intake...
F5 is the real manufacturer, please don't buy one without the F5 name. PM me if you need more information.
