Hi folks!

First post! Please don't delete it if it is in the wrong place! I tried to find a similar thread first!

I’m from Brazil and we don’t have many knife options around here other than hand made carbon knives, which are awesome btw, or cheap commercial stainless. I was looking for a stainless steel pocket knife, so first I ended up buying a Spyderco Tenatious for the reasonable price of 100 usd. Keep in mind that we must pay high taxes over imported products here, so I know this blade should cost around 30. As a rule of thumb, prices here tend to be around 3-5 times higher. Anyway... I thought I was getting a good blade but then I did some research and found out that a 8Cr13MoV steel is not really great... it’s a budget option. So I started looking out for S35VN blades, then found a beautiful CS Recon 1 on the Brazilian eBay. But the prices here ranged from 140 USD (the one I bought) to over 500 USD!! So, please be so kind to take a look at the seller's images below and tell me if I got ripped of. If it is the case I’m cancelling the purchase. Thank you all in advance!!!

I agree this looks genuine. G10 texturing and contouring look right. Blade coating and "billboarding" look right. The trademark on the Cold Steel branding on the blade is there as well. Hardware, pocket clip, jimping on the back all look correct. All this along with an authentic looking box all looks good. I have the exact same knife by the way and it is outstanding. I use it fairly hard daily and it has really impressed me. Enjoy!

In any case, pics could be indeed real deal and then you could get something entirely different inside the box.
It's not uncommon for someone to buy one original item to take the pics and use it to sell knock-offs.
It happened to some people I know so my advice is to check the knife once it arrives. Look for details. If if looks too good to be true - it probably is.

My hopes are that it's real deal since I'm sure you'll enjoy it :)

Hey guys! It's here! Finally arrived... Check it out. Looks absolutely fine to me. Weight, finishes, sharpness... best knife in my arsenal by far now! Even if it wasnt legit, I would keep it.
