This morning I received my Lee Valley leather strop and a block of blade honing compound which includes instructions for applying it to wheels but nothing about board mounted leather strops.
This leaves me with a couple of questions:
1. How do I apply the compound to the leather strop?
2. How much do I apply?
3. Both sides of the strop appear to be the same, does it make any difference which side is used?
4. Do you use different compounds on each side?
I did try the search function before posting this but to no avail.
