Photos Heritage 8041 Whittler - 1982 M.W.K.C. - red bone

Knife was a 1982 SFO for Mountain Whittlers Knife Club in Asheville, NC. I's a Heritage 8041 whittler in red bone with custom shield and etch. I've seen a couple examples of this knife posted by others around here. Here's mine.

It's number 35 and it came with original box with a "035" sticker on it. A little staining on the backsprings but still a very nice near-mint example of these Heritage whittlers. The 1982 etch implies these were among the first Heritage knives that were completed as they weren't in the catalog until 1983.

The heritage series are amongst the finest post swinden era schrades. I particularly like the 1983 ones as they seem to have a little better dye job on the bone, but all are very nice.
