I just finished mounting this big honking 14" wheel of Darrel Ralph's onto a KMG1 for a tryout. I ran it for a bit and boy-o-boy it is silky smooth!

These big wheels track even more precise than the smaller wheels.

Darrel, I'll get it to you over the weekend if that's OK. Got a motor yet?

Always think of your fellow knife makers as partners in the search for the perfect blade, not as people trying to compete with you and your work!
I currently don't have a web site but am working on one.

Can't see the pictures for some reason....but I want one with the 14" wheel....how much

Seabourn, try adding a ? after the URL when the window pops up. Geocities is funny that way.

Rfrink, that wheel is a monster! Looks nice tho. *sigh* I really need to get into a house w/garage so I can start playing with the big toys.

Spiffy trick with the question mark, that worked just dandy, thanks.

That is one hell of a hollow grinding machine! The way I read that, Darrel already had the wheel but you put it on one of your models Rob?

What would a machine like that cost? That's a nice looking set-up!

Yea!, That is Darrel's wheel. He was kind enough to agree to test out a grinder for me so I hauled one over to his shop last Sunday morning early. After waking him up and nearly being eaten alive by his attack dog "Bruno"

, we went into the shop were he handed me this contact wheel along with some bearings and a shaft. I left and heading back home with a mission to build the 1st 14" KMG1....so here it is.....open for reviews.

Yes, I have 12" and 14" wheels on hand as well as 10" and the standard 8" wheels.

I haven't figured out any prices yet....heck, I was having a blast just building it...then more fun using it to grind big blocks of steel into little ones. (I gotta get out more often...hee hee)

Darrel-

That's what I got too, but I did like TroyO suggested.

As soon as you get to that page that says "page not available" just click your cursor behind the url and type in a question mark. Then hit enter and your gold.
