Well, sort of-

Concerning the Jess Horn Clipit models, were there ever any made with micarta scales other than black? I'm aware of the AG Russell "exclusive" models in white and burgundy micarta, but how 'bout any other variations?

I ask because a fellow forumite has an older Horn for sale. From his description, it's just like the C34P, but he swears the handles are not black micarta, but brown. And he's also positive it is not an AG Russell version.

So I'm curious as to what this might turn out to be. Any thoughts?

Thanks-

Our first Jess Horn model that was introduced had jigged bone scales, our model C27. It did not have our trademark round hole. We then introduced the C34 in Black Micarta. You are correct that A.G. Russell has White and Black Micarta Jess Horn. They also have a Stainless Steel variation. These were done exclusively for A.G. Russell and are actually smaller than the original C34. The one that your speaking of probably is the C34 with Black Micarta which may appear to have a brown tone in depending on the finish.

I thought Russell sold some with Burgundy "rucarta" scales.

Them:"What's that clipped to your pocket, a beeper?"
Me:"Uuh....yeah, something like that."
