Registered on 10-04-98. Don't know why I didn't get registered the same day Mike Turber did. He was probably trying to keep the riff-raff out or something! I'd be embarrased to see how many times since then I've checked in. Probably close to a million!

10/3/98. It's just like me to be a day late...and more than a dollar short.Sam, I think you'll probably get that lowest post award.

I just wanted to add my appreciation and thanks to Mike and Spark for thier continuing efforts. I know it hasn't been easy.

Yeah, I think I got in on the 2nd day or something like that, part of the migration from the "old" Knifeforums debacle. I was never in recdot, got online in 97 for the first time. I am grateful to Mike & Spark for all the work they've done over the past few years, helping me find a way to spend my "extra" $

.
Miss the early days camraderie and most of all, the great peacemaker himself, James Mattis.

I started on rec.knives, then knifeforums, and here. Not sure what day in November, but seems like 4-5 weeks after it started up.

I have been interested in, and buying, collecting knives for 50 years, but the last 10-12 years have been the most enjoyable. Knives have come a loooong ways since I started when I was 8 years old.

God being on the forums is alot of knife buying, selling, trading under the bridge!!!! Has been costly, but fun, and continues to be so.

Have met some great people on these forums, and always enjoy reading them. Like the newspaper, something new everyday.

Being retired, I read these forums 2-4 times a day, and keeps me entertained, and mostly out of trouble with the wife seeing as how she is a knife knut also. But it does get costly for us sometimes especially buying for two. Kinda like the knife show in Eugene we are going to next week.

Looking forward to reading, buying, selling, and trading on these forums way into the future.

One last thing, I wish Mike Turber all the best in his future endeavors, and hope he still keeps input on these forums.

Too all it is a pleasure being on here.

Larry

PS- Sorry about the short story, just remembering back I guess.

I lurked for about 6 weeks before I posted for the first time. At that time I was going to KnifeForums a lot and it was a hard time dancing between both boards since both sites had really good forums.

I had a hard time getting signed on.....damn electronics. So My actual sign-up day was day 2 or 3.

I also am a veteran of the path through rec.knives to knifeforums to bladeforums. And here I thought I had the record for low number on the post count but I see that Flotsam has me beat.

This is a great place Mike and Spark have put together and let's hope it continues for a LONG time.

Although my post count is low, I'm here almost every day. What a great place. The forums has saved me a ton of money over time. Thanks to everyone that makes BFC such a fantastic place
