How many people have cut tendons in their fingers??

I severed the tendon in my left index finger at the first joint distal to the nail. Had it sewn back together, and have learned a few things.
-1) nerve blocks suck!!!!
-2) being off work for seven weeks sucks!!!
-3) you can hardly tell the difference between the cut and undamaged fingers, have full range of sensation and movement.

Good Luck, Tuff

My finger must have a special type of injury! The joint isn't frozen. I can still move it with my other hand. It can't move on it's own. In other words, if I make a tight fist, the last joint of the pinkie finger stays open. Also, the finger didn't resemble a mallet when the injury occurred. Do know what type of internal damage caused this?
