I am a Maxpedition junkie

The only drawback to my Jumbo is that I can't carry a regular sized sketchbook in it. I have tried to get used to the "field sketchbooks", but they aren't the same for me. What versipack can I use that an 8 1/2 x 11" sketchbook will fit in?

Powernoodle.... What is this Max bag?

after stumbling on this thread, now i have to get a lunada...i got a fatboy s, but that main compartment is smaller than i expected...biggest problem is should i get one in od green; it seems that color for maxped add-ons is always on backorder...

I've only ever bought Khaki and Black bags, so the color match is dead-on. :D

However, the Condor II that I just bought is foliage green. It'll be interesting to see how that matches to the pictures on the website.

 What, No Camo? :D

My name's Matt and I have a Maxpedition problem............:p

Condor II
Lunada
F.L.I.G.H.T Medical pouch (sooooooooo sweet BTW)
Tube sheath
Single sheath
Rollypolly large
CCW Holster
Triad Admin pouch
Volta Battery case
I have my eye on a Janus Extension Pocket.I want to attach it to the waist belt on My Condor II.The elastic straps will be great for holding one of my Tomahawks right where I need it.

lol. I was out in my garage last night looking for my wife's umbrella (massive storm here in the SF Bay Area today), when I spotted my small MaxPed Tactile pocket that I sometimes strap to my bags when I need an external pouch for "stuff".

"Oooh," says me to myself, "more Maxpedition stuff! Hey! I was wondering where that ran off to."

So if I let my Maxpedition gear run wild, will it breed and make little Maxpedition stuff?

:D :D

I have a Janus extension pocket but it's in black and my new Condor will be in foliage green. Can't have that. sigh

Actually, I find that with the extension pocket that I can't get Maxped belts and straps short enough to fit me. I'm not a small or skinny guy by any means (6', 200lbs), but that extra length from the Janus just makes everything too darn long.

I have a CountyComm one almost exactly like that.
It's very useful. If i've got cargo pants on it fits nicely in one of the pockets.
It currently carries.

In the outside mesh pocket:
Zebra F701 Clicky pen
mini-bic
CountyComm AAA
Chapstick

Inside:
Space Pen,
Pencil,
Highlighter
pen style knife sharpener.
4x6 RiteintheRain pad
4" widgy bar
safety pins.

On the Leash inside:
Zip Drive
keychain light,
P51 can opener

Way Way way more stuff than I could every reasonably keep track of if it was loose in my pocket. And If I'm not wearing aything with a big enough pocket it can go on the belt or on/in a bag.

Oof, that's a mighty nice collection. I've got a maxpedition pygmy falcon 2 that I use for hiking and just as a backpack. I'd really like a gear slinger for away-from-camp walks and hikes and EDC. I love maxpedition though. Small messanger bag...man that thing is gorgeous.

Hi,

Thanks, that helps!
Eventhough I can't find any photo's on the net though where customers have made their own photo's of their Sitka, but I'll keep searching ;)
I find it really strange Maxpedition advertises their bags with such inaccurate pictures.

MilspecMonkey.com has some real good photos of it. ;)

I'm a massive Maxpedition junkie as well. My EDC bag is a tricked-out Malaga, my laptop/school bag is a MPB, my overnight setup usually goes in my Falcon II (which is also put into action when I need something larger or with more support than my Malaga), I recently picked up one of the new blue Jumbo Versipacks that will function as a "tacticool baby bag" for when our expected little one arrives, and I have and use both one of their cellphone holsters and Spartan wallet.

:D

I have a CountyComm one almost exactly like that [Maxpedition EDC Pocket Organizer].

The Maxpedition version is bigger, better constructed, and twice as spendy. Nothing wrong with the countycomm version, and I have at least 2 of them. The countycomm flavor is more likely to actually fit in a cargo pocket.

Maxpedition is great stuff. I only wish they offered more items in the new colors.

Where do you guys usually purchase your Maxpedition gear?

Thanks! :)

Sometimes they have stuff on sale at great prices on their website. I've also purchased their gear from L.A. Police Gear and Oso Grande.

Stay sharp,
desmobob

I usually just get mine from Maxpedition's website because I'm too damn lazy to shop around. I have purchased some stuff from L.A. Police Gear in the past, though.

Wohoo! Condor and Proteus!

maxped1.jpg

LOL, just last night I was fooling around with hanging a Mil-Spec monkey stealth admin pouch (for my maps and compass) to the front of my proteus. It's going to work great, although I need to pick up some black tac-ties from somewhere.
