I give you $2,000 but you have to spend that on only 1 knife.
You can buy a knife that's less than $2,000 but you don't get to keep the remaining money.

What you gettin?
I honestly have no idea... But I'll make a deal with you. You give me 2 grand, and when I shop around and decide, I promise to share it in the latest acquisitions thread and return whatever is left?

Well, I already have a few users that are I like for EDC and can probably afford whatever else I might like to have as an every day using knife, so . . .

In a scarce collectable:
Given a two grand credit, I would probably get something to hold and cherish. I have always wanted a Bob Loveless drop point hunter with stag scales. Stretching the $2K limit, I'd look for one of his Big Bear sub-hilt fighters instead. Anything by Bill Moran would be too high I think. The discontinued Chris Reeve one piece, hollow handled knives are n ow also out of reach as well. Maybe a Darrel Ralph original, semi-custom Madd Max folding daggers from his hay day in the early 2000s.

In an expensive production knife:
Don't think I'd like a William Henry . . .too garish . . .but still a possibility. A Small Sasquatch might be an option from Randall Made's special deale. That has always been a back-burner thought, but again in 2025, $2K is becoming the new twenty dollar bill.

For two thousand dollars I might try to get CRK to doo up a custom-ish Sebenza 31 with Damascus blade, Mammoth ivory inlay and so on, then look for a custom switch blade conversion . . . .that too might exceed the $2,00 USD limit today.

Is two thousand dollars enough, or does my reach exceed my grasp?

Deal! But you only gotta do 1 thing for me

Exactly !

And : One of the last things in this world I need , is to turn a less than $200 habit , into a 10X worse one !
What if you 10x your income? Do you think you'd still be buying the same knives? same cars? same house?

I'm not saying my income is 10x yours, just a thought experiment
