This might get moved, but I thought folks would like it here, too. The Nessmuk is a classic, traditional American fixed blade.

One I just finished up. I'm completely amateur, and having fun learning.

This knife is made completely of reclaimed materials. The blade is forged (by me) from an old truck coil spring, probably 5160. The handles are mesquite burl from our property. The lanyard tube is from and old brake line. I quenched in oil and tempered in my oven. The heat treat took, the blade sharpens well and holds the edge.

Great looking knife!

And I personally would definitely consider a Nessmuk to be at home in the "traditional" category!

But I might be biased. :D

OUtstanding!

I've admired the nessmuk ever since I first read G.W. Sears several years ago. I still don't have one, but that's just a matter of time . . .

got my first nessie coming from il bruche pretty soon. Can't WAIT to get it.

Nice nessie andrew. It is becoming my favorite fixed pattern as of late.

take care,
Brett
