I just ordered new old style voyager xl in vg1

Any opinions and thoughts about performance and quality of this knife are welcome.I will use the knife for cutting mostly,will try not to abuse it.Also the knife is fully serrated,so when it gets dull will just regrind it to plain edge on beltsander.

Alternatively just put the back side of the serrations flat on a sharpening stone and give it a few strokes to bring back the edge.

Awesome knife, I do like the direction they went with the voyager series but VG-1 is no doubt a superior steel to AUS-8 and I really liked the light weight of the old voyager series.

Older style is easier to carry and has better steel.Im just going to use it for cutting so lock is not an issue.It is strong enough.
