Withdrawn, thought I was buying from Scrap Yard (my excuse while holding out for the 911 return)....at least the yard got a that a boy!I'll take it!
I do not have to hold out no more....Thank you Maker's Mark by supporting and ecouraging me. Made making my decision easy...you never let me give up on my search for this deal! I hope the Dog Soldier works out for all you Hog's that are waiting patiently, and the bottle treats you good as well! Cheers to the week's end! I think it could be my "one" for SHTF scenario. Honestly, other than having a bit of steel protruding from the butt, I can't think of a single thing I would change if I were to design my own ultimate survival blade.
I had seen other posts before that suggested requesting Beef and I have anecdotally noticed that his edges always seem the best to me. Not a really big deal though. I could use the practice with my Sharpmaker. The "sharpened by" is really luck of the draw mate. Beef does a great edge but he is not alone. My sharpest edge from the yard was on a Trash1 by Denny.
I had the same initial reaction, but then I started thinking about that 6" INFI blade with choil and res handle... and the price... and pretty soon I was slobbering. It really could fill this spot for me too. When I first seen it I just said "nah" but after comparing it to what I have and what other knives I was going to order for this exact role, it might actually be the one. Ordered 2 of them. We shall see!
