Is the Emerson CQC-8 knife still made?

I have had this for many years and I see them sell for a decent price. I also see that they are made by Kershaw now. Is this only collectable because it was made by Emerson?

Ok, so the retail is $272 on their web site. Why do people pay upwards of $400 for one on eBay?

I always liked the design, but never picked one up. I should have picked up a ZT0630 when it was on clearance a long time ago.

I'm no expert and I have an old one. It fits nice in my hand, opens and closes nicely, and seems very balanced. Its one of my favorites!

I guess I get a slight premium for a lower serial numbered blade, But that should be $50 or so not $150 over retail for a new one!
