I have never needed a knife. For me its a convenient tool to have and I use them but calling it a need is a stretch. With that said 3" is even overkill for me. I am perfectly fine carrying my 0900. I could probably carry a razor blade in my wallet though. Regardless, i usually carry about 4"

I have a question regarding folding knives that I can't seem to find a good answer for: What tasks can a 4" blade perform that a 3" can't? Anyone care to comment?
