Jack's Random Tuesday Carry

Thanks, Jack.
It may have been in AG's description of this one where he mentioned that he liked to fit a blade bigger than you'd believe possible.

Maybe I'll have to carry this one today. Definitely jacket weather this week.
I have a discontinued unassisted flipper of his, too, but even with a jacket there are only so many pockets.

That is the Cowboy model, I have one I enjoyed trying to do a mostly one knife challenge. It it the larger model, the smaller was the Rancher. The Rancher is now made with a lock back. The Cowboy has good heft but is thin, making it very handy. A couple of things that AG that I know of that allowed for maximum blade in minimal handle space were the stop pins and coil springs. That is from the catalog.

I pulled open the bottom drawer of my tool/edc box and picked this Tidioute #79 Workhorse Whittler for my random Tuesday choice. I really like this knife and it’s been quite awhile since it graced my pocket! :)

That's a really nice random choice Ron  :)

Thank you Jerry, both for the compliment, and for your memories of AG :)

I scooped up this Wheatley Brothers Jack today, ivory covers. I picked it up just after the first lockdown finished here

Looks like the previous owner enjoyed carrying that knife also, Jack!!
Nicely aged!!;)

Tipped open the lid of a cigar box and without being able to see it's contents I drew out this baby.
Photographed it in a misting rain realizing it fits a bunch of threads.
Since I like this Farm Boy so much you may see it again today and on into the week. :)

Hope you don't mind. :)

My first grab was one of my Western scout/camp knives, but I put it down in the dark and couldn't find it. Second grab was this Camillus.

Thanks for joining me guys :)

My pleasure Jack. It's a fun way of choosing a knife.
For me, today's selection has been especially satisfying.
I'm gonna plaster my lucky grab all over this forum. ;):) Yeah I like it that much!:thumbsup:

That's a good news :) I've enjoyed carrying the William Rodgers Sleeveboard. It's a fairly large penknife, covers are just synthetic, but a knife I like. It must be a couple of years since I last slipped it in my pocket

That’s a good looking knife, Ron. It must’ve been a while since they’ve run that pattern; I don’t think they’ve done that one since I got into GEC, and that was 2015. I really like the big, broad spear blade.

The Farm Boy is one favorite GEC knives, but I’m certain I’ve never seen one with fancy bolsters!
