I mostly wear the $20 wranglers as well because they're what is available that fit me are comfortable and have usable pockets.
The past couple years though they have no been holding up for me.
Basically all wrangler pants or shorts I've bought ripped down the rear starting with a hole at the top inner corner of one of the pockets

None of their more durable offerings are available in my size, so I'm stuck with the offerings that are comfortable but don't last as long as I'd like.
That’s the problem I had with Wranglers that sent me on my search for better jeans a few years ago. Darn things just don’t hold up.

I’ve got a couple pair of Ridge Cut. There’s a learning curve getting the pockets tucked in right, but they’re well made. The pockets are sewn in separate and hang inside like pouches.
Made in Madagascar. Means nothing, but makes me feel global.

I haven’t worn them personally but I bought my dad a pair of Prison Blues jeans for work and they’re very heavy duty.

I have been wearing Roundhouse overalls for work for roughly 14 years and I can say with confidence that they are the best blue jean overall there is. They are also made in the USA. They also make jeans. I haven’t tried them but if they’re anything like their overalls they have to be good.

I’m a Silver jeans guy. They are stretchy and comfortable. Pockets are roomy too.

I have heard great things about the quality and durability of prison Blues, but also that they're not particularly comfortable.
they do offer my size if I remember correctly, but the potential issue with comfort gave me pause.
I looked into roundhouse mostly for a canvas work jacket and looked at their pants too but they're another company that doesn't make my size.

I’ve always been frustrated finding jeans with enough ‘ballroom’ ie: long rise. Last year found that Costco’s Kirkland band fits the bill pretty nicely.

with cowboy boots I like my mexican made wranglers. cheap and good enough.

when I wear laced boots I like the llbean classic style. wont fit over a cowboy boot well. I only buy them when they have a discount code. not worth the full price point, but with 15% off, they are okay.

I too have found that Mexico makes good jeans. Out of the 5 pair of abercrombie jeans I have, two are made in mexico and they are truly a cut above in both textile and how they were put together.

I’ve picked up several Lucky brand at thrift stores that are made in the US. I really like the sizing and feel on the denim. I doubt I’d give full retail price for the foreign made ones they sell now.

agree on Mexican made jeans. they seem to know how to do it. jeans I've gotten from most the Asian countries weren't very good in quality or thickness of the denim.

if i see cotton denim jeans regardless sof the "brand" made in mexico..... I'm good with most of them.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure most of these factories are already producing x item. When they take a contract they will make some small adjustments to the hardware and pattern, but by and large they are using the textiles they already have on hand.

I purchases some summer shirts from gap recently, lightweight breathable button ups. They were made in India, and exactly like the cheap thin breathable shirts you would expect an Indian to wear... undoubtedly made for locals and contracted by gap.

Mexico has quality denim, china has cheap denim woven with too much elastine and it wears holes as quick as a pair of chino pants. I'm wary of any terms like "comfort cool, breathable" etc when it comes to jeans.

yep.

I also don't like the terms "stretch" or "flex" in jeans. those jeans looking materials that stretch and flex I have zero interest in. no way they'll last very long....

Jeans and boots every day for me. I like Cinch Silver Label.
never heard of them. so went lookin to see what i was missin.

where they made at? website has no nention i saw about that or about the company history in general.....

look like those got the stetchy flex deal material mixed in them, if I looked at the right thing.

It's not bad when it's like 3-4% stretch. At least I can't really feel the difference in the denim itself, but once you start going into the 10-15% range you might as well be wearing jogging pants.
