Jeremiah Johnson is on AMC right now!

haha, yeah watched that last night. watch out for flying wolves! really enjoy films that are quiet. watching another good outdoor/ "survival" tale now. "Dersa Usala" directed by Akira Kurasowa.

I watched it yesterday, and am watching it again today. Jeremiah and myself are much alike - rugged, goodlookin' outdoorsmen. And humble too. Mrs. Powernoodle could even pass for a squaw.

Watching it now....awesome. This is the first time I've wondered if the term "skin a grizz" was coined by this movie, lol.

i love that movie.. it's definitely one of my favorite's... i have it on DVD..:)

Alone in the Wilderness was just on PBS(I think) as well, too bad I missed most of both of them though:(

Love the movie but am not sure it holds up as well as it once did. Damn, that man took care of his teeth up there in the Rockies!

Hahaha, I thought the same thing towards the end there, when he finds the guy intruding on his home. I thought "Man, he sure does have some white teeth". :D

missed it again! I saw it was on this saturday and wanted to watch it...got veto'd by the boss tho...grrr.

I saw it. Its been years since I last viewed it. I noticed the flying wolves too.

My wife doesn't understand why, when I can recite every line in that movie word for word, I would want to watch it again and again. But other than that, "she warn't no trouble."

Yep got the DVD as well. Start watch'n it right after Thanksgiving. Larry Dean Olsen was tech advisor for the movie and also the guy I train under for wild skills learned a great deal of his early primative skills from Olsen as well.

I believe Johnson's rifle is a Lyman Great Plains. I do the same silly thing...watch the entire movie with my 50 cal Hawkins. I won't tell you want I traded to get this rifle!

One of mine and my Dad's alltime favorites.
"Nothin' wrong with quiet."
"I've been to a town."
