Jeremiah Johnson is on AMC right now!

Great movie. He took the BOSS course before filming, and wrote the forward to Larry Dean Olsen's awesome book.

I didnt know that T.....Thats cool!

Love this movie. One of the greats.

"Oh, Im ok. Ive got a fine horse under me!" :D

Wonder when Hollywood is gonna remake this one....Seems thats the thing to do nowadays. I think a redo could be very good, but most likely will suck. They will get fuc*%in Ben Afflek to be Jerimiah or somethin. :jerkit:

That's a movie that doesn't need to be remade.
Saw it when I was 7 in '72 and it changed my life and made me long for a Western Bowie.
I always thought if it was remade Brad Pitt from his Legends of the Fall days could've pulled it off.

I could see that....I agree with ya. This movie is perfect. Redford is one of the greats.

I think remakes can be good if done correctly.. Take True Grit. It was great with John Wayne. However I did enjoy the remake. I love the Cohn bros work. Jeff Daniels is one of the greatest actors of our time, and really took to the role. Plus it pushes some people to see the original if they never did, which is a tribute to John Wayne in a way. I am way to young to remember these old westerns in theaters. My parents loved them. John Wayne is the spittin image of my late Grandpa, so my mother has a soft spot for John Wayne. When VCRs came around I got to see all of these great movies. Spent many a day watching old gangster movies and westerns. So I am lucky in knowing some of these. Alot of folks my age arent. These remakes are steering newbs to the old works, which is a good thing.

Whats not good is when they hack up a classic film, or remake it to be something it never was. I think someone could do a great retelling of his story. It just needs to be someone like us, who love the original. Without that love, it will never work.

Jeff Bridges, not Daniels....and the new one isn't a remake of the Wayne movie, it's a different adaption of the same book. :)

Doh...yeah Bridges. I always do that with them for some reason. The Dude, El Duderino.....

Yeah I know its a differant adaption of the book. Ive seen em both and that is obvious. Coen boys did a nice job. I bet alot of folks went and saw the John Wayne version after seein it.

Ive actually never seen this movie. Im 24 so it was a little before my time but Just watch the last half and I loved it. I need to rewatch it from the beginning now.

You'll enjoy the whole movie. It's loaded full of skills demonstrations. Watch closely.

Mrs. Powernoodle could even pass for a squaw.

Similar to your passing as a racist redneck I suppose. Is it a lack of education, social conscience or inadequate parental guidance that allow you to spew racial epithets ?
