“Haul the sheet in as we ride on the wind
That our forefathers harnessed before us
Hear the bells ring as the tight rigging sings
It's a son of a gun of a chorus
Where it all ends I can't fathom my friends
If I knew I might toss out my anchor”

Say Jimmy once in concert. First set of CDs I ever bought included Jimmy, probably still owe Columbia House a few bucks on that deal…

I'm a big fan of his, loved his music and his attitude. I regret never having gone to concert, too late now. My favorite is "A Pirate Looks at 40".

"Cannons don't thunder, there's nothing to plunder, I'm an over 40 victim of fate"

In the early 80's I was in Key West and my date and I went to a hotel/bar for a drink. Unknown to me a girl I knew from NJ was playing there and told me she'd ran into Jimmy that afternoon and that he might come by. Sure enough, she looked over and he was in the doorway, just came to hear her play. He didn't join us, just gave a wave and seemed to enjoy her set. He left just before we did, odd that he wasn't drinking but I thought a lot of him for giving her an ego boost. And it didn't appear he was hitting on her and she was young and cute.
