JK Handmade Knife of the Week

I am a little late this week - we had to do some traveling unexpectedly over the weekend.
This week's knife is the awesome Knatchet from a design by member pitdog, who I believe is sadly no longer with us.
Pitdog used to post pictures of he and his two dogs hiking trails in the pacific northwest.
The beautiful sheath is by @darkmatter35 -

I still drool over this pic

This week I pulled out an interesting one-off knife. This is a chisel ground, 1/4" thick no name knife, I just called it the Bi-color chisel grind. It is a beast and one where John was experimenting with two-color micarta scales.

I would call it the bush pig.

I was rummaging around in my knife chest (old chest of drawers where I store knives in a spare bedroom) and I ran across my Keebler Kephart and Nessmuk - so that is what I will use this week.

I am afraid I will give John more medical issues when he remembers all the crazy stuff I have asked him to make, but he always came through. I had three of these but I gave one to RevDevil RevDevil -

Hi Folks -

This week I happened to pull out the Mack Mack Rule Number 9 - a very fine design.
This version has my requested modifications to the original design, including a modified choil and rounded spine.

I also requested John's excellent torched oak scales.

Hi Fellow JK Fans -

This week I chose a very special knife - the UDTJim Extended Hiker.
This knife belonged to Jim, our good friend and the late father of our own Rob Babcock.
Jim had the largest collection of JK Knives that I know of, and Rob sent out some of these special knives to a lucky few of us who knew and love Jim. This knife will never leave my collection.
