I got some Nessmuks glued up in 3V yesterday. These have been on order for a long time and it's gonna be *great* to finally get these into their owners' hands.

You can probably see that the front of the handle has changed with the new MUCK. I've been playing around with this for a bit and, frankly, it has caused me to hold up production on the MUCK until I could resolve it in my mind. This is the solution that makes the most sense to me and after previewing it to customers, it seems to hit the nail on the head. I wanted to add comfort to the up-close-work grip without sacrificing handle integrity. Sure, there are plenty of other handmade knives that have dropped handles...but I've seen *soooooo* many broken/chipped handle fronts I've never wanted to commit to it until now. These are solid, smooth and (I think you'll agree) look great. :D

I am always striving to improve my design, my work, my methods, and so on. This is just one small piece in an ever-evolving set of gears.

Thanks for the support, guys!

p.s. the one in Ironwood was a piece a customer sent in to use and I cut it to profile long ago to make sure it would work. It's the best of the last. What a great note to end on.

Just the scandi ground ones in this batch, beliluk. Patience will reward in the end!

Great news for those who have been waiting patiently....

I've started working on WSS knives. Here are 20 headed to a dealer in China.

Up next....custom orders!

SpecOps sheaths came in finally - still waiting on leather sheaths. MUCKs ship today!

Hi Dan, Norm here. Sorry I missed that Nessmuck, didn't scroll down far enough when it was available. Interested if another comes up, also checking to see if I'm on the WS+S list. Can't have enough Koster knives. Be well.

I have been a Koster fan for years and I have to say the end product has ALWAYS been worth the wait. I get anxious, sometimes edgy. As delivery date approaches I have been known to almost tackle the delivery man but he understands as I gifted him a Koster once at Christmas.
Thank you Dan for sharing your talents with the rest of us! Always worth the wait and the wait and anticipation is part of the fun!

Have to agree with Wheel, I've been a fan for years and yes it has always been worth the wait. It's still hard seeing the progress and not xbeing part of the list.
