KA-BAR identification help

Hi. Looking for any help on this knife I picked up. Stamp shows KA-BAR with Olean NY under it. 4”blade. Handle seems to be Bakelite/celluloid.

It's a model P206 and with the Olean mark and nickel guard was made 1945-47. The pommel nut is not original.
 
Original nut was round with a slit across it for a tightening spanner. You'd likely need to purchase another knife to get an original nut.
 
I would imagine the German knives use a metric thread while your knife would be an SAE thread, I don't think they are interchangeable. Pal used pinned pommels, Remington used the pommel nuts.
