OFFICIAL_KA-BAR OFFICIAL_KA-BAR Please bring back this great pattern. It was made years ago and nobody is currently making one in the USA.

A nostalgic pattern that is sought after today. A sway back jack, with a large sheep’s foot master and a pen blade secondary.

Nice group of post war knives Ed! KA-BAR also called that pattern "New England Whaler". Here is a pre-war KA-BAR Whaler.

Nice knife! I knew about the New England Whalers, but have never seen one with that handle material before. Thanks for posting it.

I have seen whalers in black too. Hey Ed, NCCA (Northeast Cutlery Collectors Association) one day knife show coming up Sept. 19 at the Holiday Inn in Marlborough, MA. Come on over, I think it's gonna be a good little show, all tables sold out! Lots of walk-in knives show up there too. I won't have a table, may just bring a few knives for sale or show and tell. More info on club website.

I might do that. I’ve never been to a knife show before.
