I need some help to identify this Kabar Knife. A friend of mine give it to me and he only knows that belong to his father. I never saw a Kabar knife with the stamp on the blade and not in the ricasso. Any help will be appreciate.

Wish I could help you out, but it definitely appears to have been sharpened A LOT.

Don't know the model number, but it is from after 1952 (When the company changed it's name from Union Cutlery to Kabar and dropped Union Cutlery from the stamp. Probably not later than 1960.

That "CARBON CHROME" as part of the stamp is from the 50s.

Some wear on the edge and rust on the blade, but a LOT of useful life left in that knife.
