I can't decide between serrated or straight edge. I have a KaBar USMC and a Dozier folder, both in straight edge so I figured I might get a Mark 1 with the half serrated blade.

I'm thinking of using the Mark 1 as a bushcraft knife, I just don't know if serrations would have an advantage for this type of use. I know that my use of serrations for cutting rope, etc. would be few and far between, but it is one of those things where its better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it? (especially since I already have 2 straight edged knives.)

Any kind of help would be nice. Thanks. I'll even take suggestions to similar knives of different similarly priced brands with serrations on the other edge. Thanks again.

Another recommendation for the straight edge. Serrations are great at a couple of things and suck at the rest. A good sharp plain edge excels at everything.
