Karda styles?

Does the style of the karda usually correspond to that of its khukuri?I've noticed my Sirupati's karda is more slender than that of my BAS,and the Siru karda's lines actually follow the those of the bigger blade pretty well, less so with the BAS' karda. So,are there formal karda styles or is it just up to the kami?

Thanks.

At BirGorkha like most of the stuff they do they make whatever they feel like. I think they get bored making the same thing over and over so vary the styles.

Here's a scan of all the HI kardas in the room - I got all but 2 back in the proper scabbards; don't know where the other 2 belong:eek:
PS - one of those is actually a ckakma - oops!

For some reason I laughed at that pix, Berk. I think it is because I am continually overwhelmed by your competency.

No two alike and I think that's good.

Is it possible to order a special karda? I saw the 10 inch Kumar Karda but I'm thinking more along the lines of what comes in the YCS?

Those little knives are like needles in my big hands.

I have a feeling the answer I'm going to get is "order a YCS" :p
