Kayak paddle knife!?

You just need to make your kayak more menacing-looking to the wildlife.

Here's my Wilderness Systems Pungo 140, occasionally used in the Great White Shark-infested waters of Cape Cod:

We have a few tough Sharks and Crocodiles down here and up north they do swim in the same waters.
I prefer not to go in a small craft in their environment.

Never got hit with a paddle. I'm not exactly a white water rafter. I'm sure it hurts.

LOL on the pepper spray. I'm not making soup.

I think he's coming up with something cool. Or I'll make an actual drawing. We'll see.

As for Kayak. I think mine is pretty neat. I have a raptor G1.

If it was up to me, I'd use a thin-walled titanium pipe, with a ti paddle at each end that just terminates in a little point on one side of the paddle tip, shaped like a shark's tooth profile. Seal the pipe so the paddle floats. Lightweight and indestructible paddle poker.

If anyone hasn't seen the offshore kayak fishing they do in the Gulf of Mexico, it's pretty crazy!

This is rediculous

Spearguns sometines use a shark-spike on the end of them just to poke away the sharks..

But it's about 1.5" long and similar to a pencil in size. Not designed super sharp to penetrate and get stuck.. just a deterrent

Create one on the end of a 8' dowel and stick it in one of your rod holders.

Lmao. I want to make a decal for my smaddle!!!

And ain't no way. I've done my time in the water. I try not to do things where I amd sorely disadvantaged via God's design. Like sky diving - I don't have feather... Deep sea diving, I don't have sharp teeth or gills etc.

I wouldn't want to put down my paddle and grab a dedicated poker. I'd want to be able to poke while also maneuvering and locomoting the kayak.

Bang stick sounds like a good way to start a shark feeding frenzy.

But then again, I'd also have a 5 hp outboard on my kayak, HA! :D

I've never been kayaking, in the ocean or otherwise, but I'm thinking that if you stab a shark with a paddle, it might get stuck and yanked or thrashed out of your hands, and now you're stuck in the water with a pissed off shark and no paddle. Do kayakers carry extra paddles?
