Keep it Alive in 2025

I scream when I see a spider.

Maybe they'll force us to buy the rest of the 2024s before they do a 2025.
1) Spiders make excellent, low maintenance pets!
.... (a) They eat flies. (b) NEVER have to take to the vet. (c) They are quiet; NEVER keep you up all night, or disturb the nearest neighbors howling/braying/mooing/barking/honking. 😇
D) They NEVER chase cars, Cyclists, pedestrians, chickens, etc.

(I'd love a pet Sugarcane or Camel Spider They eat mouses, and roaches. Especially if they really did reach from eve to foundation without stretching ... never be bothered by solicitors or home burglers again ... and maybe not stray pooches, ground/rock chucks, etc. 😇👍)

2) Or perhaps send in them in to refit with a Spear Point main, and a wharncliffe secondary in place of the Spey (a 912325) and recover with Bocote, Ebony, their "Dead Skunk" or other acrylic?

Refitting would probably be against precedence tho. I don't think the Forum knife pattern has repeated ... at least not in consecutive years. 🤔

If Spark’s still sitting on a bunch of unsold 2024 forum knives, this might finally be the year for the Opinel-and-wood-burning-kit DIY forum knife.

Yeah, I think this may be the end of the road for the BFC forum knife. Spark's been unable to move a large number of the 2024s, he's not going to want to take another hit like that.

A BFC Opinel would not be a bad idea. We can laser the BFC logo and/or name on either the handle or the blade. Best thing of all is that the minimum order is only 24 knives.

Last years Forums Knife is a pretty nice knife once somebody has dyed it so that it does not look anemic . Then there was the cost aspect . Then our choices were to buy an expensive ugly knife or pass on it .

Lol...get out of my head Harry, you've expressed my thoughts pretty well.

I haven't dyed my 2024, but I'm giving it serious thought. If I can find the right shade, mine will eventually be clad in red bone.

I was recently lucky enough to handle one that btb01 btb01 Barrett had done in some shade of Dark Red and it was a very well done and very nice looking knife . Maybe Barrett will show it on here ????

Completely different knife once I got it back from being dyed! I realized that I hadn’t been able to appreciate the excellent walk, talk, fit and finish of the knife because I was so put off by the bland color of the original covers.

That is making me almost regret not getting the forum knife this year, that looks amazing! I do wonder if a mid-size single blade or something might be less expensive and easier to move. Has there been a BF 15 or 92 or something before? A talon could be cool, they haven't done that in a while.
