Kershaw Collection

Question: why is there no KAI forum on here? Just wondering. Between Kershaw and ZT there are alot of collectors and alot of really sweet knives

ok... ok... Here ya go. My collection as of last year. Missing about 15 or so for a complete collection. Have added a bunch since these pics. If you're smart, just be happy with a few Leeks and move onto the nicer / LE Kershaw and ZT's.

They used to have one. If you look in the archives there is a ton of info

Was decided for the best interest of the company it should be closed. There are plenty of threads about it of you want to research it. Not worth rehashing.

I was once a BLUR only collector and sold most of my collection, it's on to the BlackWashes now! :)

Yeah I just read through the thread about it closing... Unfortunate but oh well lol
thanks though man!

My future goal is to have a Leek collection at least 1/4 the size of poolhustler's hahaha
Such an amazing collection!

Poolhustler that is awesome I counted 138 Leeks !! If you average $50.00 to $60.00 per knife which is on the low side. That's $6900 to $8280.00 invested. You should win a trophy from Kershaw for the largest Leek collection.CD

EDIT- I can just imagine your pool cue collection!! BTW I always wanted a Mucci just could never afford one in my younger years when I shot a lot of pool..

I thought for sure you'd need a Predator drone from high above to take a picture of all your Leeks.

Never gets old looking at that great collection.

Also, your apt advise to the OP: Do as I say, not as I do!

You can buy a midtech for what you are likely to pay for that purple one if you can even score one
Yeah I started a little search for the purple one because to be honest it's the only one I really love the looks of and was shocked by the price and lack of availability. Champagne tastes and beer budget gets me again.

Wow, you guys have some nice collection sets!

Unfortunately that's why I probably wouldn't attempt a Ken Onion design collection, too much competition. :D And it's already been done so many times...

what would you start out buying to build an awesome Kershaw collection?
I might gravitate towards their semi-traditional pocketknives to collect, perhaps their older hunting knives, or their wood handle lockbacks.

An ET collection would be sweet!

I never intended to collect all the Leeks. I just picked up one here and one there. Next thing I know I had about 20 or so. So I started looking for ones that I didn't have and it just grew from there. I have paid some crazy money for the real rare ones and I don't even want to begin to add up what the collection has cost me so far!! I have a few that I have only ever seen one of, so I had to buy them.

That's the beauty of collecting knives, there are so many makers, types, styles, etc to focus on. The hunt is the fun part for me..

Here's part of my pool cue collection. I have sold off most of my collection. These are all Bert Schrager custom cues. He was the first custom builder to be inducted into the Cue Makers Hall of Fame while he was still alive. He was a good friend and a great guy.

I've noticed that the Ken Onion designed ones usually have quite a bit of competition and nearly impossible sets to complete, along with others but I just love the look of the Leek and the feel, I wish but don't ever expect to have near as many as Poolhustler. I just want a nice collection of them along with the other Kershaws I really like such as the Blur, Skyline, and Junkyard Dawg.
Thanks for the suggestion too man, I've been looking at the more classic designs (also fixed blades) and plan to add quite a few to my collection but first I want to get around 5 different Leeks and Blurs to get it started cause I already have a Blur that I edc often and it has taken a severe beating!
Appreciate the help everyone, think I pretty much got a good list to begin with when some funds come in... Now the best part begins! "The Hunt". Hahaha!

Btw I think one of my first purchases to start my new " Kershaw Collection" is gonna be that Blue and White Blur, higher then most but that knife is beautiful! Gotta start it off right.
