Kershaw Leek

I've handled/purchased 3 (1 for myself, 2 as gifts) and have never encountered a problem with bladeplay.

I agree , very tight lock-up, no play at all on either of mine.

FliGuy, the textured G-10 Leeks (approx 500 pieces) that are on the market now, were done for one of our East Coast Distributors. Another 1000 polished G-10 (yes like the old Random Task), S30V Leeks will hit in Feb, and then a different textured G-10, S30V Leek will be part of our regular 2006 line-up.

jemelby, the S30V Leeks that are currently on the market, and those that will be out shortly, will not have coated blades. They will have either a satin or stone washed finish.

Crappy materials are what was keeping me away from Kershaw.

J85909266,

In defense of Kershaw and to Thomas, Kershaw knives are very well made and I think far below the price point they should be at. My friend's Leek is very well made, and the blade is razor sharp.

I would just like the S30V for personal preference really...

Hey Thom, any pics/pricing for the new one?

And anymore suggestions for a good EDC that's rediculously sharp?

Thanks,
-Cleary

P.S. place your collection pics on my other post as well!

I'll have the pictures and specs posted on my thread "S30V Leek" here in about two days when I get back to my place... until then, go to that thread, more info there.

Stay tuned...
Cleary

One of the Kershaw guys had a G10 Leek at Blade. I think it was Larry from Georgia. Anyway... At the time, I thought it was a personal project. I should have know better :-)

Anyway.. I am double glad that there will be a G10/S30V Leek, and that it will have a plain/bare blade. I would be triple glad if it had a Stud lock :-)

Thomas, I believe there have been some accusations of "poor heat treat" on lower end kershaw models. Could you possibly indulge us on the Rc values of the regular model Leek and Scallion?

Thanks
Desmond

Here's another vote for the Random Leek, that blade is just damn cool. I have a regular Leek with I like alot but the Random is one of my favourite knives (just wish it was offered uncoated).
