Yea, I like this way better than an Eklipse. I just wish there was aftermarket hardware that used larger torx bits. These are ridiculously small.

Got the new Launch 16 today!
It’s a big guy, fires nice and hard. Thick blade too, but it gets down to a pretty thin edge/tip. Come to think of it, it seems like it almost could be wearing the ZT logo….first Kershaw I can remember to rock a .155” blade. Maybe they will make this a manual button lock and slap a ZT badge on it……? This is a Really cool Kershaw, I think I’ll carry it tomorrow! Only thing that would make this better is if it had the old “scallop” serrations like the Shallots and the 0200/300s, those worked great. But I’ll give these a chance.

Now for ZT….
we need a button lock or a bar lock, some Magnacut on the bigger models, and more blade shapes for the 0393 (or a new George or Rexford design)………


And the blade thickness next to a PM2

Also, something to note. This knife has a beefy stop pin!

It seems like certain ZT models are very difficult to find. I have always liked the 801 and 562. I was very lucky when I ran across this NIB / NOS 801 Black below recently. I still need to disassemble it and clean / lube it.

I scrambled to buy it and felt like Smeagol trying to scoop up "My Precious" before anybody else could get their dirty handses on it. BACK OFF greedy, greedy BF Memberses!!!

That is a sweet stash of 0801 goodness!
I have the OG plain Ti model and love it!
I regret passing on the blackwash version when I coulda gotten it cheap from a dealer that was closing them out. I would have done a ScotchBright on the flats, as a few others have done.

The later models with speed holes are a bit lighter and the contours are even more ergonomic, but I’m a sucker for the faux bolster milling so never picked one up.

ZT0801 and ZT0562 are definitely great looking folders and they also feel great in the hand. The only thing that I wish could be improved about them is to reduce the BTE thickness, significantly.

Ah yes. Kershaw. My first exposure to knives. Bought a Leek and a Scallion off Amazon in 2014 for a stinking good deal. TSA in Denver confiscated my Leek a few years later when I was a moron and forgot to put it in my checked bag. Bought another one immediately and I'm much more careful now.

Aaaaaand now I've joined the ZT club too. Got my grubby little mitts on a very gently used 0609. Missed out on the purple sprint run version the guy was selling, so I'll be anodizing this one.

Wow, that’s a rare one! Even the gold/blue versions are some of the rarest ZTs (and some of the best looking IMO.) I tried the 0609s, but it’s just too thin for me. I’d love one of these, but I would never bring myself to carry it lol
