I have never made one of these before and decided now was the time! This little guy is going to be a shop/house knife for opening boxes and digging out splinters, stuff like that. Made from 0.098" D2, I gave it a prequench to refine the grain structure and stuck with the low temperature tempers after the sub zero quench. I have never worked with D2 before, and was amazed at how abrasive resistant it is! I knew it had a lot of large chromium carbides, but it reminded me of working with M4! The bevel forms the edge at 17°. The back side was polished with waterstones and the bevel/edge sharpened with diamond plates. Fun project for me! Thanks for looking!
The little hole at the back of the handle is for a lanyard, once I get around to it.
