Kitchen knife set

Yes, the 8" chef knife (is really a sabatier) and it is a girlie knife. They like it and use it for everything. It is not a slicing or carving knife. They push cut it thru a brisket like they were dicing lettuce. However, it is a good vegie knife. Get a Victornox 6" boning knife and a 9" slicing/ carver. Your brisket and Christmas ham will have more appeal when sliced with these. And it can be used as a melon knife in that season.Then a 3-4" paring knife. These will meet all your kitchen needs. DM
