Sometimes, (in fact a lot really for me) I don't want to hike around carrying a big chopper with me. Firstly, it takes up the space of food in carry weight, must be carried inside my pack until i reach the trail head etc and there is absolutely nothing for me to chop on a semi civilized hike/overnighter or a couple of days out. Easier for me to gut fish and skin with a thin short blade than a chopper. I tested (no need really after what I just said LOL) the Yeti, made with PGK (USA designation for Lohmann's 1.2895 tool steel). Very easy on the wrists, easy to carry, functional. Don't worry about the thickness, PGK has lots of Tungsten present.
See what you reckon???
