Knife for beach use

Thanks again all! Lots of great knives mentioned for future purchases. This trip however, Im choosing from what I already own. It looks like I'll be taking a manix 2 lw and a sak.

Hey op, like many others I would suggest one of the Spyderco Salt knives. H1 if you want or are willing to use a serrated edge or Lc200n if you want pe. Both steels have proven to be rust proof even in my most extreme testing. All knives with stainless hardware will eventually show some corrosive “bleeding” around the hardware but this can take weeks to months of 24/7 exposure to extreme environments. No normal knife user is going to have that issue and even someone in my line of work has to intentionally neglect the knife for months to see the issue. If you want the most rust proof knife available then there are 3 that I know of that fit the bill. The Spyderco Aqua Salt, Fish Hunter and Waterway. All are fixed blades and all are made without using any additional hardware so there is nothing but the blade steel and frn/g10 handle material. I have tortured all of these relentlessly for months of 24/7 corrosive exposure and have never seen the first spot on any of them.

To specifically answer your question, s110v is the most corrosion resistant of the steels you mentioned. Enjoy your trip!
