Knife for Valentine's Day?

When the Mrs. said she'd rather have a new makeup mirror instead of a dozen roses I said fine I'd rather have a SAK than a teddy bear or something. Did anyone else ask for a knife for Valentine's Day?

Buying a teddy bear for a guy is like buying a Makita for a girl...it's really a gift for yourself!

If the Mrs. does get you a knife, and I hope she does, make sure to give her a coin, like a quarter, in exchange for it. Without a token payment for the gift of a knife, it is said, you will "sever" the relationship. This is superstition of course, but you can never be too careful.

Last year I gave my wife a beautiful Larry Dougherty Three-Finger Knife for Valentine's Day. She loved it!

The previous year I gave her an accurized Ruger Mini-14 with a 4-12x40 scope. She observed that true love is giving someone the ability to kill you at 600 meters.

I think I married the right woman!
