Photos Knives and tea, pix thread

Happy Tuesday!

Trying new things…

The past two weeks I’ve been staying away from black teas and trying some herbals. There is some neat variety out there.

And on the knife front, my first GEC showed up in the mail yesterday from a great forum member who knew I was interested in the Bunny and had an extra one new in the tube collecting dust. He passed it on to me for what he paid new. We hang out with some great folks here on Blade Forums!

My first reaction to my first GEC knife is that the materials, fit, and finish are outstanding. The sharpening leaves a LOT to be desired. I have a sample size of one, so maybe that’s not normal for GEC, but it’s something I can fix, so no worries. The ebony wood is amazing.

Sometimes small cup is better (aka non-westener cup size). No knives sorry, because I was dead tired and just wanted a cup.

41 years ago 220 of my brothers, along with 18 Sailors and 3 Soldiers, lost their lives. A friend of mine was there. He lived and worked to recover the bodies of our brothers from the rubble.

Today, one of the men responsible passed away.

Tonight, I’m reflecting over tea made of fresh ginger, honey, and lemon.
