You didn't need to do that. I was not criticizing. For me, the greatest benefit from this site is in acquiring an education. For the most part, knives are the topic. But occasionally tea too. Just trying to share knowledge here. I am a semi-retired professor of economics, so for me teaching is second nature. And since "herbal" teas are now referred to as tea among the general populace, I have no problems with that. Just thought you and others may want to know.Fair enough - image removed
I have tried the "red bush" herbals (Rooibos plant) grown in S. Africa. You brew it like a tea, and it tastes like a fruit punch when sweetened. I couldn't bond with it. I don't even like Earl Grey. I only like straight up tea with honey. I am old fashioned. My ex used to drink herbals, with dried fruits and such in the mix. Now she's gone! LOL.
I started on Earl Grey as a kid - it's 50 yrs later, and rarely does a day pass without me having it at least once. I don't use milk (have tried steamed milk in chai, and didn't feel it was worth the effort). I don't put sugar in hot tea...and use only a small amount of I'm making iced (less than 1tbsp/40oz). The only time I break out the honey is if I'm making a hot toddy.
Uncivilized vs barbaric? Perhaps today those might be considered extreme...but certainly not proper.

The kind of tea has never been as important as where you drink it, to me!
It's an old picture, but it is Birch Point, near Rockport, Maine.Really cool knife, and the location is important. Where is this location? Had to ask as my curiosity is peaked.
I have to tease a bit here, but it looks like Buck does their factory grind with a TORCH. ;-)Mail call! A new Buck 539 Open Season Small Game knife in S30V with Madagascar Ebony next to an older brother 538 in 420HC. I’ll need to outfit the new guy with a custom sheath of his own soon. But first, a relaxing cup of tea after dinner on the front porch.
