Got the "Long Slide" used with a pre-installed idiot scratch :(

Used to bug me. After several years and a couple thousand rounds, the scratch is not so frustrating. This is an older pic so not really showing it's age and love. As pristine as I tried to keep the Colt SCG, it has scratches too. Can't just NOT shoot it. That's just blasphemy. They all WANT to be shot and loved. 😁

Like user knives, they all start to show their own love after time.

Have you tried any of the Underwood hard cast in .45? That is some SUPER accurate ammo. I shot some Buffalo Bore a while back and though stout, it didn’t pattern as well as the Underwood stuff.

Underwood makes great stuff. You might want a heavier recoil spring tho.

I'm a big fan of their .44 Special "Keith Load." 👍

Thanks !

This is just for the occasional hike. Normally it will be loaded with 230gr Speer Gold Dot LE … and the spring at 16lb is already heavy for the wife …

We should have a beer at some point, now that we are almost neighbors!

Cheers,

Roland.
