If it "concentrates or intensifies the force of impact"...it's a no no. Carry a large carabineer with the intent of using it as a weapon...no no. Hold a roll of quarters and hit someone...additional weapon charge. Bored cop notices your "impact device" on your keychain...bad day:(.

I naively ordered a "self defense item" from the website knockoutknucks.com

I received a thank you email from the proprietor, Jason. A form email, to be sure. He thanked me for my order. I replied to the email to say no problem and thanks for the email. That email got bounced back: Jason's email does not exist. Yikes.

Now I did all of the research my retarded ass should have done in the first place. Knockout Knucks has an F rating from the Better Business Bureau. Their Facebook page visitor posts are person after person saying "where's my order " and threatening legal action.

I'll never get my self defense tool. Lol. But be advised, all ye who may be as dumb as me: steer clear of knockout knucks. Confirmed scam.

Sorry you got hosed by them. I ordered a set of lexan knuckles from the site about three years ago and they arrived quickly and cheaply. However, that was long enough ago that I think the owner of the business has moved onto other things.

In the meantime, the Colorado legislature has amended our laws to include "artificial knuckles" of any material, from leather all the way up to steel, in the prohibited category.

If you want my set, you can have them. They're a bit beat up from practice on heavy bags and the clear lexan has a lovely lavender tint under direct sunlight, but they're yours if you want them. Contact me at THEZIEG at MYEDL dot COM with your mailing address.

BTW, the tape is just to create a larger diameter under my index finger, not to repair a break. I just could not break these.

I ordered a very nice set of knuckle dusters and got an amazing deal as well. I decided after placing the order to check them out which worried the crap out of me after reading a lot of negative reviews. I myself had a great deal. It was shipped to me within a few days and I got exactly what I ordered. Couldn't be happier!!
