Kopa - Way to keep it clipped without slipping?

The title really says it all. I've got a black micarta Kopa that I love, but I have to wear it in my pocket because the combinate of the pocket clip and scales are so slick that it will fall out of my pocket given the slightest nudge. I'm thinking that maybe I could remove the clip and rough up the "gripping" surface of it a little... does anyone have experience doing this?
