Hello ,everyone.I think that I am in love
I have been using knives for more than 300 years and I have tried many steels during the years but I always came back to carbon steels .My absolute favorite were forged 5160 for larger blades and forged 52100 for smaller knives.A few months ago Koyote made me a forged 5160 blade that I really like ,and used a lot.I am fond of forged knives with wooden handle and this knife was just perfect for me .It is very tough and holds a grate edge.I was sure that I got the perfect knife for me,but something happened.A few days ago I received another order ,3 knives made of L6.I have never had any knives made of L6 before ,so I tested the knives a bit. They came with 3/16'' thick convex edge and perfect handle.I tested all the knives ,chopped some, cut,pry ,dig some and I flexed all of the knives to about 35 degrees with no problem.I am seriously impressed.I might just found the new perfect steel for me.
L6 holds a grate edge and it is very easy to strop it back to shaving sharp.
And ,Koyote is a very nice guy to deal with.
Now I want some more and more
Thanks,ALL THE BEST
I WISH A WONDERFUL HAPPY NEW YEAR TO KOYOTE AND ALL KOYOTE LOVERS.TAKE CARE:thumbup:
