Just bought a double bit Lakeside Axe on eBay and was looking for some more of the history behind it. has a B marking below and above the logo. 3 Pounds 5oz. Looks like one or both sides can definitely be used for splitting, esp the shorter end. Looking for absolutely any info on the axe. Only know that it's a Montgomery Ward brand!
