Lansky Lhone used on a knife?

I'm considering buying a 710, but I'm leary of sharpening the recurve. I know I can use the corners of the Sharpmaker, but I want a little more flexibility. Say perhaps an extra extra coarse oval stone. I'm considering the half rounds from Congress Tools, but I'm wondering if anyone has tried the Lansky Lhone to rebevel their knife, and if this is a good or bad idea.
