GEC's 61 frame would give a good basis for the Congress Jack, provided we can agree on an interesting MICARTA for the handle!!

We should try something different, that we have not yet tried such as

Stainless for a change, YES.

Single- spring knife, not done that before. GEC's 57 frame Half Whitt has a single-spring, it could have Clip, Spear or Wharncliffe master according to popularity. It's also near to being a Norfolk...

Nor have we had a single-blade for that matter

And, a material that is not bone or stag? Wood, acrylic, micarta all have strong appeal on the right frame.

I would vote for micarta as scales material, I'd also like to see single spring two blades, something slim. And most important for me between 3 1/2" to 3 5/8" close length.

I know this would never happen but this is what I would like to see for 2013

Keep in mind that there are Jack patterns with a blade at both ends. These knives are considered "doubled ended Jacks". The difference between a double ended Jack and pen knife is generally the size. Here is an example of a double ended Jack.

The very collectable Sunfish pattern can be considered a Jack also.

Whatever the pattern turns out to be, can we please make it with steel bolsters/liners/pins :)
