Forged from 1/4 inch 5160
Flat grind
There is a slight distal taper on the blade and tang but I left a lot of beef
Weight: 15.1 oz
Scotchbrite finish on the grind, forge finish on the flats
Crab apple burl handle stabilized in my shop
Overall length: 13 1/2 inches
Blade: 8 1/4 inches
Riveted leather scabbard

Great looking chopper and the burl appears to have a great pattern to it.

I think your measurements are off somewhere because that handle is definitely not 3 inches long. It looks like it would fit the hand quite nicely.
