Okay, my gigantic 80+ knife lot thread is going well, so I'll put up a small lot of my customs and see how that works. I'm just offering some pictures and a short description with the price. So if something interests you, just send me a message or email at rmbobadilla@liberty.edu and I'll send you more info on it. Shipping for the first knife is $5 and free after that. Includes delivery confirmation. Insurance is extra. If paying with Paypal please add 3.5% . Without further adieu, here are the knives:

What do you mean? The necker was made from a block of carbon fiber. The outside of the case was made from carbon fiber weave and the inside from a kangaroo leather hide. The damascus letter opener was carved from a billet of damascus. The Spyderco and Benchmade were production knives that were pimped, but all the rest were made from knife blanks. Am I in the wrong forum or something?

God Bless,
Richard

By the way, sometimes people think I am sarcastic when I am actually not. I am straightforward and ask questions directly. I never mean to offend anyone. I am a very peaceful man, but for some reason people misunderstand me on the forums.

Definitions of "custom knife" can be contentious. "Sole authorship and unique design" is a good starting point. Some of these knives do look like they qualify. Others do not. Some are clearly modified/customized productions -- and customized is not custom -- and some are essentially kit knives, which would also fall under customized.

I know Ren is not bringing this up to make problems for you, and selling them under Productions for Sale and titled Customized isn't going to hurt sales since most people here would recognize them as such anyway.

(Nice work, by the way.)

Yes Please do not mis understand I am not trying to dis these knives or your for sale thread. Many of these knives look like fine pieces. If there was anyway you could determine which maker made these knives it would help.

all the best..

Thank you very much sir. I'm just trying to follow all the rules. I thought if it were customized, it should be in the custom forum. But actually, I would rather post in the other forum since it gets more hits. Esav, am I allowed to post a link on my other thread to this one since some of the knives here are production ones?

God Bless,
Richard

Hmm...well...I use to get a lot of the blanks from Premium Knife Supply on Ebay, so I think that's where they all came from. The Damascus ones come from Seki City, Japan and are very good quality. I believe the other blanks are from PKS as well. They say they make their own blades in the US and they are pretty good 440C. The handle materials I use are all really good quality.

Richard

How about I do this:

I will take your original post in this thread and copy it to a new thread, changing the title from "custom" to "customized" and place it in the Productions for Sale forum? It will get good exposure there, especially with the interest your other thread is getting.

Then I will lock this one so it will drift off the first page.

That will work for me if it works for you! Thank you very much Esav!

Done. I put a link at the beginning of the original post in this thread, so anyone clicking on it can go to the new location right away.
