i am new to swords .is it a bad idea to store a sword in a leather
scabbard since it attracts moisture ? and if so how should it be
stored? thanks.

I definitely would not keep a sword in an all leather sheath. Some of them especially ones that are vegetable tanned contain acids in the leather that can hurt some sword blades. In my opinion (and admittedly I'm biased) wooden core scabbards are the best way to go for scabbards.

Triton;
I see you make sheaths for swords.
I sell Criswell Swords. I would love to have a wood sheath of a 31".
How long would it take you to make one?:cool:

Hey Danny,

Why don't you shoot me an email (address is on the website) and we can talk? I try not to discuss business here on the forum to much since I am not really paying for the privilege of being here. Thanks for the interest!

I will send you an email Monday when I get to my shop. I don't have email here at the house.

could cause rusting. Consider lining the sheath with wax, or plastic. I use very thing kydex to line the sheaths i make.
